About Silver Park

Silver Park is a small, remote alpine lake tucked into the Sangre de Cristo Range in Custer County, Colorado, near the town of Westcliffe. Sitting at roughly 9,000 feet in the Wet Mountain Valley, the lake occupies a sparse, open landscape with limited tree cover and sweeping views of the surrounding peaks. The area draws visitors who want a quiet, off-the-beaten-path stop rather than a developed recreation destination. Reviews describe a hot, arid setting with minimal infrastructure and no formal campground amenities such as showers, dump stations, playgrounds, or designated fire pits. There is basic trash service, but travelers expecting a fully equipped RV park or campground should plan accordingly. Despite the bare-bones setup, the Wet Mountain Valley is home to more than 50 alpine lakes accessible by foot, horseback, or ATV, making Silver Park a potential waypoint for hikers and explorers working through the backcountry. Wildlife viewing opportunities exist in the surrounding grasslands and foothills, with the region known for raptors, pronghorn, and migratory birds. Fishing prospects at Silver Park itself are limited and undocumented by Colorado Parks and Wildlife stocking reports, so anglers should not count on reliable catches here. The nearest well-stocked fishing waters are DeWeese Reservoir and Lake DeWeese, both within a short drive. Visitors who have passed through describe the people of nearby Westcliffe and Silver Cliff as welcoming and friendly. Silver Park is best suited for self-sufficient travelers comfortable with primitive conditions who are drawn to the solitude and stark beauty of Colorado's lesser-known high-country valleys.

No amenities for rvs except trash service No showers no dump(unless you hook up) no trees no playground no bbq area no open fires no grass no flowers no pet area and you’re staying in amongst permanent residents of the mobile home park And there are street lamps everywhere so no dark skies outside your home/Rv And no signs to show you where the park is also no contact info and your rv can’t be older than 10y
